Church Records

Berg clerical district contains parish registers from Berg, Rokke and Asak. Berg was the main parish in a district with Rokke and Nordre Fredrikshald until 1721. Nordre Fredrikshald (Halden) then became the main parish in the district with Berg and Rokke. By a royal proclamation, on 13 Oct. 1769, Berg became the head of its own district with Rokke and Asak as annexes. Due to an outbreak of fire, all earlier books have been lost.

The Family History Library has microfilm copies of the church books, 1770-1912.
