  • Research help - Sign up for a free 25-minute appointment with Boyd Nielsen, an accredited genealogist, to get help with a specific research problem. Look for the sign-up sheet at the welcome table in the main foyer.
  • Children’s activities - Crafts, story time, games, and more in the Cultural Hall. We request children be accompanied by a parent.

  • Center Open House - Come by and see the resources available at the Center
  • Videos - Relax a few moments while watching inspirational and informative videos
  • Refreshments - Enjoy a cookie break!

All classes are held in the Training Room of the Family History Center. Please register in advance by calling the Brigham City Family History Center at 723-5995.

Tuesday Sept 10 - 10:00 am - Internet Research Class, taught by Linda Peterson
This class teaches how to use different sites on the internet to find information for genealogy and some basic research skills in helping find names for the temple.

Thursday Sept 12 - 10:00 am - Family Tree Photos & Stories – taught by Joyce Palmer
This class teaches how to upload photos and stories to Family Tree. Participants should bring photos and stories stored on a removable drive to practice using these features of Family Tree.

Thursday Sept 12 - 6:00 pm - Family Tree Questions and Answers, taught by Barry Evans
This class provides answers to questions about Family Tree. Brother Evans is a missionary for Family Search and has the answers to solve problems in Family Tree. Come with questions and learn more about Family Tree.

Friday Sept 13 - 11:00 am - Records Search on Family Search, taught by Sue LaVelle
Familysearch.org is an excellent place to research your family. This class teaches how to use the records search of Family Search and provide insight in finding information for your family.

Monday Sept 16 - 10:00 am - Family Tree Beginning, taught by Annette Sheperd
This class teaches the basics of family tree from logging on to maneuvering through different aspects on the tree page and the person page. Adding information and searching will also be taught if time during the lesson.

Tuesday Sept 17 - 6:00 pm - Basic Danish Research, taught by Anita Olsen
This class teaches the basics for researching Danish records. Anita is a board certified professional researcher in Danish. Come learn from the best.

Monday Sept 23 - 10:00 am - Family Tree Intermediate, taught by Annette Sheperd
This class teaches how to reserve ordinances for the temple, editing information and relationships on our family tree. Merging and sourcing are also taught.

Tuesday Sept 24 - 10:00 am - Legacy Database Software, taught by Anita Olsen
This class teaches how to use Legacy Software to record ancestors and families. Learn the various features of the program to enhance your family research.

Wednesday Sept 25 - 10:00 am - RootsMagic Users Group, taught by Vicki Rasmussen
This class teaches how to use Roots Magic Software to record ancestors and families. Learn the various features of the program to enhance your family research and connect to Family Tree.
