Monthly Class Schedule

All classes are held in the Training Room of the Family History Center. Please register in advance by calling the Brigham City Family History Center at 723-5995.

Tuesday Mar 4 - 6:00 pm - Getting Started with Your Research, taught by Linda Peterson
This class teaches the basics of getting started and using Family Search and other online programs. This is the basics for anyone just beginning or needing a refresher course.

Thursday Mar 6 - 6:00 pm - United States Census, taught by Shari Duce
This class teaches the importance of census records in the United States from 1790 to 1940. Learn how to get more out of your census research.

Saturday Mar 8 - 10:00 am -Family Tree Beginning, taught by Susan LaVelle
This class teaches the basics of Family Tree from logging on to maneuvering through different aspects on the tree page and the person page. Adding information and searching will also be taught if time during the lesson.

Tuesday Mar 11 - 10:00 am - United States Census, taught by Shari Duce
This class teaches the importance of census records in the United States from 1790 to 1940. Learn how to get more out of your census research.

Thursday Mar 13 - 6:00 pm - Analyzing your Pedigree, taught by Boyd Nielsen, AG
This class teaches how to analyze your family on your pedigree. Boyd Nielsen is a professional accredited genealogist. Don't miss learning from an expert.

Saturday Mar 15 - 10:00 am - Family Tree Intermediate, taught by Susan LaVelle
This class teaches how to reserve ordinances for the temple, editing information and relationships on our family tree. Merging and sourcing are also taught.

Tuesday Mar 18 - 10:00 am - Legacy 8 User Group, taught by Anita Olsen
This class teaches how to use the software program, "Legacy 8". This support group will answer questions and give time to practice the use of this program.

Wednesday Mar 19 - 10:00 am - Preserving Family Stories through Oral Histories, taught by Michael Palmer
This class teaches how through Oral Histories we can preserve the stories of all of our families; including our children, ourselves, parents, grandparents and cousins. Great idea for the whole family.

Wednesday Mar 19 - 6:00 pm - Scanning Photos and Documents, taught by Michael Palmer
This class teaches how to use various technology in digitizing your family photos and documents to use in your own personal projects and ways to preserve precious documents and stories.

Saturday Mar 22 - 10:00 am - Family Tree Advanced, taught by Susan LaVelle
This class teaches how to use the tools available on FamilyTree and to answer your questions about Family Tree.

Monday Mar 24 - 10:00 am - Getting Started with your Research, taught by Annette Sheperd
This class teaches the basics of getting started and using Family Search and other online programs. This is the basics for anyone just beginning or needs a refresher course.

Wednesday Mar 26 - 10 am - RootsMagic Users Group, taught by Vicki Rasmussen
This group meets the 4th Wednesday of every month. Learn more details about the Roots Magic software program and get answers to questions about this program. Beginners are welcome.
