FamilySearch Beta

  • Historical Collections has several great collections for UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand. Check back often because new things are added all the time.
  • Learning resources tab gets you to the FamilySearch Research Wiki and the FamilySearch Online Training.
    • Use the wiki to keep track of all your research notes about places, historical context, background, etc. where you can always find them and others can benefit from them.
    • England Probate project on the wiki
    • England and Scotland parishes project on the wiki
  • Blog tab has articles written by research consultants of the Family History Library

FamilySearch Labs

  • FamilySearch Forums--Post questions and reply to others; monitored to make sure you receive a response.
  • England Jurisdictions 1851--Discover the jurisdictions that impact your research.
  • Community Trees--Trees have been researched and documented from various sources and communities. You can add your community study if you have done one. (legacy site)

  • Historical books collection--Search thousands of digitized books from many different libraries.
