Cassia Stake

Stake boundaries as of about 1930 — see Encyclopedic History..., p.119.[1]

  • Area of the County: Located in the south part of Goose Creek Valley, Cassia Co., Idaho.

  • Boundaries of stake:Northward the stake extends to the Burley and Minidoka stakes, east to the Raft River Stake, south to the boundary line between Utah and Idaho (or Box Elder County, Utah), and west to the limits of Cassia County.

  • 1879 - The people were organize into a branch of the Church.
  • 1882 - On Sunday, Sept. 24, the branch was organized as the Cassia Ward of the Box Elder Stake.
