Question #1: It’s hard to search these records because the original records are out of order and have some missing. How can I find them?
Answer #1: The images in this collection were filmed from cards that, in some cases, were not in alphabetical order. As a result some of the images in the collection are not arranged alphabetically. The correct image can be located by browsing through the collection. The card index is by groom's name.
These records are available on films which can be viewed at your nearest FamilySearch Center. To order these films, see Ordering Microfilm or Microfiche. These films are the best copies available. Original cards have been destroyed.
Question #2: I am finding marriage dates outside the dates listed on the title of this collection. Can you clarify that for me?
Answer #2: The title description explains that marriages were recorded by the clerk of the district court for each county from the time the county was formed. Because of the differing county creation dates, picking a start for a collection is difficult. There are some records that do fall before the 1900 date and some that fall after the 1939 date.
