Finding the engagement and marriage records for your Danish ancestors is an important step in building the family story. You will always get the names of the groom and the bride, with their places' of residence at that time. Depending on the circumstances you will get the name of bondesmen (who may or may not be a relative). The engagment and marriage record should indicate the groom and the bride's social standing or occupation. You will find the entry of your ancestors engagement and marriage in the parish records where the engagement and marriage took place.
