Parish History

EGDEAN (St. Bartholomew), a parish, in the union of Sutton (under Gilbert's act), hundred of Rotherbridge, rape of Arundel, W. division of Sussex, 2 miles (S. E.) from Petworth.[1]


Egdean St Bartholomew is an Ancient parish in the Chichester district of West Sussex. Egdean is part of the civil parish of Petworth West Sussex.

The church of St Bartholomew has been designated as a grade II* listed building British listed building
