FamilySearch Historical Record CollectionsEdit This Page
From FamilySearch Wiki
Pilot.FamilySearch.org is the site which provides online access to indexes and digital images to records held by the Family History Library. New collections are being uploaded as quickly as the records are digitized and indexed. This is known as FamilySearch Record Search. The term 'Pilot' indicates that the site is still under development.
For more information on Pilot.FamilySearch.org read the blog posted by the developers. A new version of the site was released in September 2009.
Everyone is invited to volunteer in indexing the digitized records so that the sources can be made available free online. Click here to learn more about the indexing project.
One example of a record collection available at Pilot.FamilySearch.org is a wonderful index to church records for Cheshire on Record Search. Click here to follow the link.
