​Do not index records for individuals unless they were actually mentioned in the obituary. Click here for examples of when to add records for spouses whose names were mentioned together (for example, Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson or George [Mary] Johnson).

Grandchildren: All of the following should be indexed as Grandchild (or Grandson or Granddaughter, as appropriate) in the Relative's Relationship to Deceased field: spouses of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their spouses, and step-grandchildren and their spouses. Click here for an example.

Grandparents: All of the following should be indexed as Grandparent (or Grandfather or Grandmother, as appropriate) in the Relative's Relationship to Deceased field: great-grandparents, step-grandparents, and so on.
