The United States and Canada reference unit at the Family History Library has compiled several registers to help answer questions more quickly at reference desks. The registers contain the same material as found in the Family History Library Catalog. However, the register arrangement of the material is often easier to understand and use.

Several of these registers are now available on the Internet:

Contents

U.S. Census

U.S. Emigration and Immigration

U.S. Military Records

U.S. Minorities

  • Family History Library bibliography of African-American sources : as of 1994

U.S. Vital Records
