Find your ancestor in the records

The best sources of genealogical information in Hungary are church records kept by the local parishes and vital records kept by the local civil registration offices. The Family History Library has microfilmed records from Hungary. Use the Catalog/frameset_fhlc.asp FamilySearch Catalog to determine what records are available for the locality.

Some of the Hungarian records are now available on the Internet. Click here for the Hungarian Historical Records Collection.
