Collection Time Period
This collection of civil registrations records covers the years 1866-1910.
This collection consists of civil registration (stato civile) of births, marriages, and deaths originally microfilmed at the Asti Courthouse (Tribunale di Asti). Since the time of microfilm capture in 1995, the original records have been transferred to the Asti State Archive (Archivio di Stato di Asti). Includes ten-year indexes (indici decennali); residency records (cittadinanze); and marriage banns (pubblicazioni). Availability of records is largely dependent on time period and locality.

How to Use the Record
To search the collection, select "Browse through images" on the initial collection page
⇒ Select the “Comune o frazione”
⇒ Select the “ Registro e L'Anno” which takes you to the images.
Look at the images one by one comparing the information with what you already know about your ancestors to determine which one is your ancestor. You may need to compare the information about more than one person to make this determination.
