FamilySearch Record Search This article describes a collection of historical records available at FamilySearch.org.

Image Visibility

Whenever possible, FamilySearch makes images available for all users. However, ultimate rights to view images on our website are granted by the record custodians. The Italy, Bari, Civil Registration (State Archive) collection is available to the Family History Library, FamilySearch Centers, and to members of the supporting organization, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The images can be viewed at a FamilySearch Center near you.
Italian Data Privacy rules prohibit viewing the following records: All birth images must be 100 years or older; all marriage images must be 70 years or older, and all death images must be 70 years or older.

Record Description

The collection consists of civil registration (stato civile) of births, marriages, and deaths within the custody of the State Archive of Bari (Archivio di Stato di Bari). Also includes marriage banns (notificazioni o pubblicazioni); marriage memorandums (atti di memorandum); marriage supplemental documents (processetti); annotations to death records (annotazioni di morte); and miscellaneous records (atti diversi). Availability of records is largely dependent on time period and locality.

This collection of civil registration records covers the years 1809 to 1908.
