Record Description

The collection consists of images of baptisms, marriages, and deaths from the Diocese of Monreale (Diocesi di Monreale), Palermo, Italy. Also includes confirmations (cresime); church censuses (stato delle anime); marriage banns (pubblicazioni); marriage contracts (contratti di matrimonio); marriage supplemental documents (documenti matrimoniali); ecclesiastical documents (documenti ecclesiastici); and family trees (alberi genealogici). Availability of records is largely dependent on time period and locality.

How To Use The Records

To search the collection, select "Browse through images" on the initial collection page ⇒ Select the “Nome del Comune o Frazione” ⇒ Select the “Nome della Parrochia” ⇒ Select the “Tipo de Registro” which takes you to the images.

Look at the images one by one comparing the information with what you already know about your ancestors to determine which one is your ancestor. You may need to compare the information about more than one person to make this determination.
