Record Description

The collection consists of parish registers of baptisms, marriages and deaths for selected parishes from the Provinces of Pola and Trieste, Italy. The Province of Pola was an Italian province between the years of 1923 through 1945. Localities from the Province of Pola are in the modern-day countries of Slovenia and Croatia. The collection contains records from the following localities from the Province of Pola: Buie (Buje, Croatia); Cittanova d'Istria (Novigrad, Croatia); Isola d'Istria (Izola, Slovenia); Materada (Materada, Croatia); Pirano (Piran, Slovenia); Portole (Oprtalj, Croatia); and Verteneglio (Brtonigla, Croatia). The collection also contains records from the following localities from the Province of Trieste: Guardiella, Muggia, Prosecco and Trieste. Images may be out of cronological order.
