This civil registration collection contains civil registration of birth, marriage, and death records from Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast). Marriage supplements (dossiers de mariage) are also included. The records are written in French and span between the years 1920-2012.
Birth records may contain the following information:
- Birth date
- Name of child
- Names of parents
- Birth place
Marriage records may contain the following information:
- Names of husband and wife
Military records may contain the following information:
- ID number
Death records may contain the following information:
- Name of deceased
- Names of parents
- Birth date
- Death date
How to Use the Record
Searching the Images
To search the collection select "Browse through images" on the initial collection page
⇒Select the “Department”
⇒Select the “Commune”
⇒Select the “Record Type and Year Range” which takes you to the images.
Look at the images one by one comparing the information with what you already know about your ancestors to determine which one is your ancestor. You may need to compare the information about more than one person to make this determination.
