Parish History

LANTEGLOS cum Camelford (St. Santy and St. Advent), a parish, in the union of Camelford, hundred of Lesnewth, E. division of Cornwall. There are places of worship for Wesleyans.[1]

Lanteglos-by Camelford St Julitta is an Ancient Parish in the county of Cornwall.Advent, Cornwall, England was a chapelry of Lanteglos by Camelford. Other places in the parish include: Helstone and Trewalder.

There was in medieval times a chapel of St Thomas which probably fell into disuse after the Reformation (it is recorded in 1312). The Rector of Lanteglos is also responsible for the adjacent parish of Advent in a united benefice within the Diocese of Truro.
