Chapelry History

LINDALE (St Paul), Bell Hill was created a chapel of ease by 1754 , in the township of Upper Allithwaite, parish of Cartmel, union of Ulverston, hundred of Lonsdale north of the Sands, N. division of Lancashire, 10 miles west by south of Milnthorpe. The modern parish is in the Diocese of Carlisle.[1]
