MANAGE YOUR TIME

Why we ask for scheduled time:

Research Assistance receives calls around the clock, and therefore, we need to coordinate the efforts of all of our volunteers to ensure coverage.

It is important for the continuity of the program that volunteers maintain a consistent schedule. If possible, it is best that you work the same shift each week. We ask for a minimum of 2 hours per week but would appreciate as many hours as you can comfortably contribute.

Please contact Sister Olga Gonzalez at ogonzalez@familysearch.org with your proposed schedule.

If you are unable to work your scheduled shift, please inform the Live Assistance Skype group. Someone will be found to cover for you.

Other volunteer opportunities:

If you are able to volunteer more than 12 hours a week you might consider a Church Service Mission with FamilySearch where you are able to serve from the comfort of your home. Note: this option is only available to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

For more information visit the service missionary page or send an email to mission@familysearch.org.
