Twenty-two volumes of Louisiana tombstone inscriptions were collected by members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and deposited with the DAR Library in Washington, D.C. These were microfilmed in 1970 and are available at the Family History Library (Family History Library films 854861-63 and 855248-50). Another DAR collection containing tombstone inscriptions is described in the “Genealogy” section.

The Family History Library also has 210 microfilms of New Orleans cemetery records. These are listed in the catalog under

LOUISIANA, ORLEANS, NEW ORLEANS - CEMETERIES.
