Known Issues

Question #1: When searching the files in the District of York the last image for the sub-districts do not display but jump to another sub-district. Is there a way to see the final images?
Answer #1: The following sub-districts have this problem:

  1.  The last image (#10) for Argenteuil jumps to Bonsecours.
  2.  The last image (#3) for Deux Montagnes jumps to St. Eustache.
  3.  The last image (#4) for Il Bizard jumps to Lac des Deux-Montagnes.
  4.  The last image (#8) for Lac des Deux-Montagnes jumps to St. Benoit.
  5.  The last image (#17) for St. Benoit jumps to St. Scholastique.
  6.  The last image for St. Scholastique (#13) jumps to Deux Montagnes.
  7.  The last image (#7) for Nouvelle Longueuil jumps to Rigaud.

Until this problem is corrected, the only way to view the final images from these sub-districts is to order film number 2443958 and view it at your local Family History Center. To order films see: Ordering Microfilm and Microfiche.

Question #2: I found an extracted record showing that a person lived in Northumberland, Malbaie but when I look at the image, the browse points shows Canada, Lower Canada Census, 1825 > Northumberland > Ile aux Coudres Image 2 of 7. Is the location Malbaie or Ile aux Coudres?
Answer #2: The information on the extracted page is most likely correct. To verify the correct location, look at the page number on the image. Pages 1982-1995 are from Malbaie, pages 1995-1997 are from Ile aux Coudres.
