Known Issues

Question #1: I am looking for records from the Taunton Purchase in Bristol County. Can you tell me where to find them?
Answer #1: Records that deal with the Taunton Purchase in Bristol County are found on images 686-764 in the browse point Plymouth > Bridgewater > Land records 1672-1834.

Question #2: When searching for an ancestor in Hampden County, I found records for Bedford County. Can you explain this?
Answer #2: There are early Bedford records on images 1-10 in the browse point Hampden > Granville > Births, marriages, deaths, town records 1733-1796 vol 1. Many boundary changes were effected in these early counties which could explain records from other locations being located here. The records for Granville appear to be the records on images 12-82.

Question #3: Can you clarify the dates in the browse point Suffolk > Dorchester > Birth index 1631-1849? They seem to be incorrect.
Answer #3: The correct years for the records in the browse point should be 1850-1869.
