Mattamiscontis is an extinct town, now an unorganized territory (township) in the North Penobscot townships in Penobscot County, Maine. The town was created from part of Howland, Maine in 1839. Mattamiscontis' town organization was repealed in 1907, and since then it has been unorganized territory.[1]
