Parish History

MORLEY, a township and ecclesiastical district, in the parish of Batley, union of Dewsbury, Lower division of the wapentake of Agbrigg, W. riding of York, 4½ miles (S. W. by S.) from Leeds; the township containing 4087 inhabitants. There are places of worship for Wesleyans and Primitive Methodists, and a second meeting-house for Independents. [1]
