Genealogy

History

Home of the "Y" Bridge which crosses the Muskingum and Licking Rivers. The Ohio government authorized the creation of Muskingum County on January 7, 1804 and the County of Muskingum was established on 1 March 1804. Muskingum County was named from the Delaware Indian word meaning “a town near the river”.
