Known Issues

Question #1: Where can I find deeds from Victoria that are listed in the Madawaska Index Book?
Answer #1: The records you are seeking may be found in the Madawaska Victoria Deeds Books. It is actually Madawaska and Victoria.

Question #2: Records for the New Brunswick County Deeds Books 1780-1930, Gloucester, Deed Book, 1848-1857, v. 05. Page 453 was scanned twice, and page 454 is missing. How do I find the image that is supposed to be included in the collection?
Answer #2: Image 454 is currently unavailable. It appears that an error in scanning resulted in page 453 being filmed twice and page 454 being skipped. The problem has been reported for investigation.

Question #3: Some of the records found in the browse points appear to be different from the browse point description. Is there a list of the correct browse point descriptions?
Answer #3: Following is a list of the known discrepancies in the browse point names.

  • The Northumberland > Index book, grantee > 1845-1881, A-Z should read Northumberland > Index book, grantor-grantee > 1845-1881, A-Z.
