Brief History

This unit mustered in between September 9, 1861 and December 10, 1861.  Three companies were organized and reassigned to Berdan's United States Sharpshooters. [1]

Mustered into United States service September 9, 1861. Assigned to 1st Regiment Berdan's United States Sharpshooters as Company "E".
