The following problems have been reported in conjunction with the New York State Census 1892.

Problem #1 - Some images are of lesser quality (too dark, too white, blurred, halo effects).

Answer #1 - The quality of the scanned images cannot be improved because the of the condition of the original microfilm filming.  It is possible to use the Image Viewer tools; Resize and Invert to improve reading quality.  It is also possible to Save the image and then view in another graphics program with additional image enhancement features.

Problem #2 -Search results bring up different counties for the same record.

Answer # 2 -  Some records were indexed twice, once with the correct county, and again, with an incorrect county.  The errors occur in Delaware, Kings, Montgomery, Tompkins, Washington  and Orleans counties.  The correct county can be ascertained by looking at the images.
