Often the section that contains both 1892 and 1905 are divided, so that 1892 covers the first part of the waypoint and 1905 covers the second part of the waypoint. For example: Greene County>Ashland E.D. 1> images 1-13 are from 1892; and images 14-21 contains 1905 census. Known Issues

Question #1: How can I get a clearer image than those that are of lesser quality (too dark, too white, blurred, halo effects)?
Answer #1: The problems with the images occurred because exposures varied on the original films. Rescanning will not improve the quality.

Question #2: Why do search results bring up different counties for the same record, and how do I determine the correct record?
Answer #2: Some records were indexed twice, once with the correct county, and again, with an incorrect county. The errors occur in Delaware, Kings, Montgomery, Tompkins, Washington and Orleans counties. The correct county can be ascertained by looking at the images for each county.

Question #3: When searching the 1892 New York State Census, I get a 1905 New York State Census image. Where can I find the 1892 New York State Census images?
Answer #3: Some records from the 1905 New York State Census were located on the same film, and thus were included in the 1892 collection.
