Known Issues

Question #1: Incorrect year range, Marriages 1901-1903, Volume 04. What is the correct year range?
Answer #1: 1901-1905.

Question #2: Misplaced records; where can they be found?
Answer #2: See answers below:

  • Deaths 1902-1903, Volume 04. The records at this link also include 1904-1906 deaths. These records plus those at the Deaths 1902-1906, Volume 04 link comprise a complete record set for years 1902-1906.
  • Marriage Index 1891-1892, Volume 01 records are at Images 49-86. Images 1-48 are misplaced duplicates of death records from the Death Index 1891-1892, Volume 01 link.

  • The years for Birth Index 1891-1892, Volume 02 are really 1892-1895. These indexes include entries from two record sets:

   o Births 1892-1895, Certificate Number 62001[i.e., 620001]-634463.

   o Births 1893-1895, Certificate Number 634464-639686 (page numbers 362 and above).

  • The Delayed Birth Index includes entries for records that are located in record sets titled as “births” rather than “delayed births.” The birth record sets that are indexed at the Delayed Birth Index 1840-1915, Box 01-34 link are:

   o Births 1861-1865, Box 02.

   o Births 1866-1869, Box 03-04.

   o Births 1870-1871, Box 05.

Question #4: There is no browse point for births between 1871-1891 even though there are birth records both before and after that date. Where are the 1871-1891 birth records?
Answer #4: The only records available for that period are found in the delayed births records.

Question #5: There are two Volume 07 Marriage browse points; one Marriages 1913-1916 and one Marriages 1916-1916. Are they for the same records?
Answer #5: The second browse point is a continuation of the first and contains records not found in the first group. Check both sets of records to find the complete listings.

Question #6: Are the records in the death browse points filed chronologically and are the browse points correctly identified?
Answer #6: The death records are filed according to certificate number and not are necessarily in chronological order. The following browse point years are incorrect:

  • Deaths 1943-1943, Certificate Number 112863-113902 has records for years 1942 and 1943
  • Deaths 1942-1943, Certificate Number 114512-115039 has records for years 1935 to 1943
