Known Issues

Question: I get a message “Image not available” even after I have registered and signed in. Why can’t I view the images?
Answer: FamilySearch has limited rights, granted by the record custodians, to publish images for the Portugal, Vila Real, Catholic Church Records, 1533-1941 to patrons with an LDS login (members of the sponsoring organization). These images are available on microfilm which can be ordered from the Family History Library to a FamilySearch Center for viewing. To find a FamilySearch Center near you click here, and for instructions on ordering microfilm click here.
If you have an LDS Account and are not able to view images after signing in, it may be due to a registration problem and not an image access problem. Please call 1-866-406-1830 in the United States, or contact Patron Services at support@familysearch.org. Please include a brief description of the problem and steps taken thus far to resolve the issue.
