== Chapel History == Preston Holy Trinity was a created as a chapelry from, and laying within the ancient parish ofPreston St John, Lancashire, in the county of Lancashire, built by 1816.
The church closed in the 1950's. The church was demolished in 1951. A car park now occupies the former location which is slightly west of the Ringway.
The Diocese of Blackburn is a Church of England diocese, covering much of Lancashire, created in 1926 from part of the Diocese of Manchester. The Diocese includes the towns of Blackburn, Blackpool, Burnley, and the cities of Lancaster, and Preston, as well as a large part of the Ribble Valley. The [chapelry] of the Holy Trinity is a neat stone edifice in the later English style, with a square embattled tower crowned by pinnacles; it was erected in 1815."[1] It lay within the civil parish boundaries of St John Preston. == Resources == ==== Civil Registration ==== Birth, marriages and deaths were kept by the government, from July 1837 to the present day.
