Some areas of Schlesien have very useful records regarding the hiring of employees.  There are records found in various archives in the Silesian area which contain information regarding this.  Some records may contain the following information:

  • Name of hired employee
  • Name of employer
  • Date and place of birth of employee
  • Date of hire and address of employment
  • Monthly wages

These records are of a more recent time period and may fill in some blanks as to what an ancestor was doing at certain times of his life. This information is not available through the Family History Library.

There are also various types of records which describe the physical appearance of employees such as the forestor's, including from where they were born and their ages.
