Known Issues

Question #1: Are there images for Cloridorme > Sainte-Cécile-de-Cloridorme > for the years 1881-1884?
Answer #1: The records on the microfilm are not in chronological order. The record title should read Cloridorme > Sainte-Cécile-de-Cloridorme > Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1873-1884. The following table shows the images and their corresponding years.

Question #2: How can I see the images for 1880, septieme and huitieme fueillets (pages 7 and 8) from the records at Cap-d'Espoir > Saint-Joseph-du-Cap-d'Espoir > Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1867-1884?
Answer #2: The images should have been located between images 162 and 164 at Cap-d'Espoir > Saint-Joseph-du-Cap-d'Espoir > Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1867-1884 but were not filmed correctly. The images can be viewed through Ancestry.com at no charge at a FamilySearch Center near you.

Question #3: Are there records for Saint-François-de-l'Île-d'Orléans?
Answer #3: The records for the parish of Saint-François-de-l'Île-d'Orléans are found under the heading of Saint-Francois. Note that not all of the Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1679-1789 records are in chronological order, particularly images 400 to 450.

Question #4: Where can I view pages 200 and 201 from the records at La Malbaie > Saint-Etienne-de-la-Malbaie > Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1850-1868?
Answer #4: Pages 200 and 201 where missed in the filming process. The images can be viewed through Ancestry.com at no charge at a FamilySearch Center near you.

Question #5: Where can I locate the records for Saint-Edouard-de-Napierville?
Answer #5: The Saint-Edouard-de-Napierville records are mislabeled and are found at Saint-Edouard > Saint-Edouard-de-Saint-Georges.

Question #6: Where can I see the Images for Saint-Tites-Des-Caps, 1879?
Answer #6: Feuillets deuxieme through onzieme where missed when filming the records for 1879. However, they can be viewed through Ancestry.com at no charge at a FamilySearch Center near you.

Question #7: The records for the years 1885 -1887 are missing from both the Quebec, Catholic Parish Registers, 1621-1900 >Saint-Cyrille >Saint-Cyrille-de-Wendover and Sainte-Clothilde-de-Horton > Sainte-Clothilde-de-Horton collections. How can I view the images?
Answer #7: The records for these years are not available at Family Search. However, they can be viewed through Ancestry.com no charge at a FamilySearch Center near you.

Question #8: Where can I see records for Hull or Gatineau, Quebec?
Answer #8: The parish for Hull was opened in 1871 but the registers between 1871 and 1886 were burned. FamilySearch does not have online records after that date. Records in this collection for other parishes in Hull county are found at Cantley, Old Chelsea and Pointe-Gatineau.
The site of the Institut Drouin at http://www.genealogiequebec.com includes all marriages for Hull up to 1911.

Question #9: Where can I see the record for the years 1877-1887 at Mirabel > Saint-Janvier-de-Blainville?
Answer #9: The records for these years are not available at FamilySearch.org. However, they can be viewed through Ancestry.com at no charge at a FamilySearch Center near you.

Question #10: Where can I see the records for January to February 1887 found on the cinquième feuillet at Baie-Saint-Paul > Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul-de-Baie-Saint-Paul > Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1877-1900
Answer #10: This page was missed in microfilming and is not available at FamilySearch. However, it can be viewed through Ancestry.com at no charge at a FamilySearch Center near you.

Question #11: Pages 16 and 17 for the year 1810 from the records at Maskinongé > Saint-Joseph > Baptêmes, mariages, sépul...757, 1773-1777, 1782-1822. should be located between images 734 and 735 but are not. How can I view them?
Answer #11: Pages 16 and 17 appear to have been missed in filming and are not available at FamilySearch.

Question #12: Page 215 seems to be missing from Sainte-Famille > Sainte-Famille-de-l'île-d'Orléans > Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1758-1832 > following image 427. How can I see it?
Answer #12: Page 215 was missed in microfilming and is not available at FamilySearch. However, the same information from a different set of records is available at Ancestry.com and can be viewed at no charge at a FamilySearch Center near you.

Question #13: At the browse point of Louiseville >Saint-Antoine-de-la-Rivière-du-Loup, there are Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1755-1756 and Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1770-1817. Where are the records from 1756 to 1770?
Answer #13: The browse points are mislabeled.
Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1755-1756 has records as follows:

  • Records from 1755 to 1756 are on images 1 – 24
  • Records from 1770 to 1787 are on images 25 - 284

Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1770-1817 has records from 1788 to 1817

Question #14: At the browse point of Saint-Henri > Saint-Henri-de-Lauzon >, there are Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1766-1803 and Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1810-1824 Where are the records from 1804 to 1809?
Answer #14: The browse point Saint-Henri-de-Lauzon > Baptêmes, mariages, sépultures 1766-1803 is mislabeled. It contains records up to 1809 as follows:

  • Records from 1766 to 1784 are on images 1-79.
  • Records from 1804 to 1809 are on images 79-228.
  • Records from 1784 to 1803 are on images 229-492
