FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Centre, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

The Regina Saskatchewan Family History Centre Serves all areas surrounding Regina, Saskatchewan.

Centre Contacts and Hours

Location & Map:

  • Address: 550 Sangster Boulevard, Regina, Saskatchewan
  • Use the east parking lot and east entrance to the building. The doors are locked at all times. Please ring the buzzer on the door, and the staff will open the door for you.

  • Tuesday: 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Closures: Tuesday December 17, 2013 - Monday January 6, 2014. 

Summer Hours: Tuesday: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM; Thursday: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM

  • Films and Fiche: have a collection of over 1500 microfilms and microfiche including a large selection of films from Germany and Galicia.
  • Book and Maps:  The FHC's electronic catalogue includes more than 100 books and 150 maps.
  • Premium Websites: The Family History Centre provides researchers with free access to a wide range of genealogy research websites that make it possible to search for an ancestor by typing in a name. Available sites include:

  • FHC Portal: This centre has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the centre to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions.
  • Hardware and Equipment: 7 microfilm readers and 1 microfiche reader; 1 digital camera (patrons may also bring their own cameras to take images of records); 4 computers; wireless network.
