Known Issues

Question #1: I get a message “Image not available” even after I have registered and signed in. Why can’t I view those images?
Answer #1: The Russia, Samara Church Books, 1869-1917, is a restricted image collection. FamilySearch has rights to publish images online to users from the sponsoring organization only (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).

FamilySearch, however, has other resources which are available to all researchers. These online records, and many others for this area, are available on microfilm which can be ordered for viewing into the nearest FamilySearch Center. See Ordering Microfilm or Microfiche. To find a microfilm see: Family History Library Catalog. Please contact your local FamilySearch Center in advance to see if they can get the microfilm for you to view.

Another resource is to visit the Russia Genealogy Research Community on Facebook, where you can collaborate with other researchers.
