Barbados  Gotoarrow.png  Saint Joseph Parish includes thousands of burial entries from the Parish Registers of St. Joseph, as well as many monumental inscriptions from the church and churchyard.

Early History

The earliest parish registers for St. Joseph, Barbados begin with the first baptism record in July of 1718 with Campell Nesfield.

The first marriages in this parish appear in 1702 with surnames such as Larner and Westbury. These were quickly followed by other well known names from that period, that continue to this day, with the likes of Beck, Brazier, Carmichael, Cartor, Cummins, Davis, Edwards, Gatt, Gavin, Gollop, Jarvis, Jones, Lewis, Lyte, MacCarty, Mann, Mascoll, Sharp, Shorey, Summerhayes, Talley, Townsend, Vaughan, Walcott, Wilkinson, and Young.
