Parish History

SANDFORD-ORCAS (St. Nicholas), a parish, in the union of Sherborne, hundred of Horethorne, E. division of Somerset, 3 miles (N. N. W.) from Sherborne. It comprises 1100 acres of land, in the south-eastern part of the county, on the border of Dorsetshire.
