The Center for Family History and Genealogy recently launched new online materials to aid in researching old documents. The materials offer guidance in deciphering manuscripts and other old documents. Web site may be useful for genealogical, historical, and literary research.

The Script Tutorial includes extraction guides for old documents in English, German, Dutch, Italian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. The German Script Tutorial has the most content available, and the English Tutorial is currently being developed. Other tutorials are forthcoming. This collection of online tutorials and resources is provided by the Immigrant Ancestors Project, The Center for Family History and Genealogy is located on the campus of Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.
