Overview:

Use this online Olive Tree Genealogy database if you are searching for ancestors arriving in Canada between 1535 and 1927.

Content:

    • Ship Name
    • Port of Departure
    • Port of Arrival
    • Date of Arrival
    • Passenger’s name

Some manifests include occupation, age of passenger, country of origin for passenger and other miscellaneous data.

Using the site:

    • Choose “Finding Ancestors on Ships arriving in Canada”.
    • When the new page loads, scroll down to “Ships Passenger Lists to Canada 1500s.
    • Browse the index of ships passenger lists for those years.
    • Click on the link for any ship to view the transcribed manifest, or choose a new set of years from the section “Look for ancestors in ships passenger lists arriving in Canada”.
