[[Image:Knight.jpg|frame|left|95x128px]]I'm Ken Knight of Spanish Fork, UT; a former member of the Wiki support team. I’m a retired athletic trainer, college professor, author, scientist, and administrator. Our family and our genealogy have been blessed by living in Utah, Missouri, New York, Indiana, and back in Utah during the course of my employment by five universities. I’ve had a fulfilling and productive professional career. But my passion for sports injury rehabilitation, research, and writing has increasingly shared time with genealogical research during the past 25 years. Now genealogy has taken center stage. And my joy is even greater because my wife’s passion for genealogy has grown in parallel with my own. We have become fully integrated genealogical research team.
+
Unique Features of the Genealogy Collection
Our research has centered in New England (over 100 ancestors were in Massachusetts by 1650), North Carolina (German Lutherans migrated from the Palatine region of Germany in 1730), and Indiana, Illinois and Kansas. Our favorite vacation is a genealogy field trip–we have researched in over 50 court houses, town halls, libraries, and archives. And oh, the kind and helpful people we have met along the way.
+
*Curl Collection

Our approach to genealogical research has evolved over the years. We used to travel to remote locations, copy everything we could find related to our people, their neighbors and associates, then return home to spend months organizing, analyzing, and entering information into our data base. We now have the luxury of gathering much of our data from the internet, although we still enjoy road trips, and libraries large (such as NEGHS in Boston & Allen County in Ft Wayne, IN) and small (such as Pike County Indiana & Davidson County NC).
Available only on library computers no children given to Mrs Alexander 1900
shirley Sbehme@pikeco.lib.in.us

• Newspaper Index
to family history information in 4 local newspapers 1874-1940?
(the newspapers are on microfilm)
- Pike County Democrat
- Petersburg Press
- Otwell Star
- Press Dispatch
Genealogy is about sharing. We have benefited greatly from others' efforts, and trust that we will continue to benefit from others in the future. We feel an obligation to give back. Contributing to the Wiki, and serving as consultants in our local Family History Center are two ways we are giving back.
