Parish History

SPREYTON (St. Michael), a parish, in the union of Oakhampton, hundred of Wonford, Crockernwell and S. divisions of Devon, 8 miles (E. by N.) from Oakhampton. Henry Talbot is named as lord of Spreyton, and a benefactor to the church, in 1452.[1]
