Parish History

SAMPSON'S, ST., a parish, in the union of St. Austell, E. division of the hundred of Powder and of the county of Cornwall, 4 miles (S. S. E.) from Lostwithiel.[1]

St Sampson is an Ecclesiastical Parish in the county of Cornwall, created in 1737 from chapelry in  Tywardreath, Cornwall Ancient Parish.
