This archive has microfilm and original records for many Swedish Baptist Congregations nationwide, both current congregations and those no longer operating and is especially strong for Illinois and Minnesota.

For complete information on holdings, services, fees and submission of queries see: http://www.bethel.edu/bgc-archives/

Basic information: (does not include baptisms, marriages, burials of individuals). Churches in Converge Worldwide (formerly the Baptist General Conference) do not generally keep individual information. Occasionally the archive has received such information as a donation from families upon the death of someone that kept the information, but this is rare. If an individual was a charter member of a church then there would be record of that in the church file, but not subsequent members.

Individual information at the history center is limited to conference pastors, long-time professors, presidents of the university and significant lay persons.

Research fees: $30.00/hour

Queries: Go to http://www.bethel.edu/bgc-archives/request-forms/holdings-off and submit your query there.
