The article states: "The first true census was conducted in 1857." Yet, no further mention is made of this 1857 census. It's not mentioned in the Section: "19th Century Censuses." That section only states: "1869, 1880 and 1890 censuses are usually housed in the District archives [Okresní archívy]." No mention of 1857.

Later the article states: "The Register of Subjects According to Their Religion (Soupis poddaných podle víry z roku 1651) was published by The National Archives in Prague for the following regions: ..." Does the information exist for other regions? If so, where is it?

So little is known about the 1857 census. It is unclear if these lists still exist and where they are housed. Some info can be found here: http://www.czechfamilytree.com/1857census.htm

Regarding the Soupis poddaných podle víry z roku 1651, that is all that was published. No information exists for other regions. Please note that this publication only pertains to Bohemia and not to Moravia or Austrian Silesia. Pysnaks 21:54, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
