Gimingham, Norfolk

Hi

I have many relatives from Norfolk and in particular Gimingham.  This parish does not appear when I try searching.  Has it been missed, or has it not yet been indexed? I notice that Gillingham is there bur they are two quite different villages.

I have done some research and offer the following information that may be useful:
It doesn't appear as if the England, Norfolk Parish Registers, 1538-1900 collection as records for Gimingham.  See the https://www.familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/Gimingham,_Norfolk

The collection England, Norfolk Archdeac...'s Transcripts, 1600-1812  > Norfolk > Grimingham with Trunch 1725-1811 has Gimingham records.  Unfortunately, Gimingham is spelled incorrectly.

Also, film numbers 887920 and 894717 appear to have Gimingham records and can be ordered for viewing at a local FamilySearch Library.  You can access the films and ordering instructions by clicking on the Catalog tab on the FamilySearch home page and searching for the film numbers.

Hope this helps.
Tom

ANSWER: Can you provide more information so that we can locate the records in the England, Norfolk Parish Registers 1538-1900 collection that have been incorrectly indexed as from Earsdon rather than Yarmouth? Tomwilde 19:54, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
