When listed as   Wife's  son.  and Wife's daughter.   Some Indexers, in Data Entry, are Changing that and entering  Step Son and Step Daughter.... and some Arbitrators are changing back to Wife's son and Wife's Daughter.

Some indexers, following the Basic Indexing Guidelines  Rule to "type what you see"  are  entering in Data Entry "what they see" as Wife's son and Wife's daughter.  And then some Arbitrators are changing it to Step Son and Step Daughter.

US, New York--1875 State Census


1875   New York Census.

Relationship to head. 

When listed as   Wife's  son.  and Wife's daughter.   Some Indexers, in Data Entry, are Changing that and entering  Step Son and Step Daughter.... and some Arbitrators are changing back to Wife's son and Wife's Daughter.

And then, on the other hand..

Some indexers, following the Basic Indexing Guidelines  Rule to "type what you see"  are  entering in Data Entry "what they see" as Wife's son and Wife's daughter.  And then some Arbitrators are changing it to Step Son and Step Daughter.

So, which is it?  Type what you see?  Or change it to what it does not say?
