The title of Ireland Births is misleading, saying it contains records from 1620, but on the description at the bottom it says they started in 1864.
- Thanks for pointing out the error. It has been fixed.
In the ‘Record Description” section, it states: “There may be entries that cite a specific source such as the following…” It goes on to list sources such as "Vital Record of Rhode Island, 1636-1850..” This makes no sense since entries do not cite any sources other than the film number, batch number, and system origin. This section goes on with other information that makes no sense. I suggest that this material be removed or re-cast in an appropriate context.
There are other strange things about this Learn More page. The page name (Ireland Births) is not the same as the collection (Ireland Births and Baptisms, 1620-1881). The collection name and date range in the link at the top of the page is different again (Ireland Births, 1864-1881), and this date range is in the “Collection Time Period” section text.
