Talk:Step 5. Organize your informationEdit This Page
From FamilySearch Wiki
What a wonderful image! But it needs some more data. The Image:Sail cloth to computer.png needs to have some background information added:
Photographer (or Artist):
See how this is handled on most of the other images in the Special Pages - Gallary of New Files for examples of what to do.
In the permission area you need to have the permission of the photographer who took the image to use it on the wiki. It is usually put like this: I, Noel [FamilySearch Wiki User], the copyright holder of this work, hereby release it into the public domain. This applies worldwide. In case this is not legally possible: I grant anyone the right to use this work for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law.
In this case, since several are recognizable, you also need to get (and say in this permission area that you have gotten) permission of each living person in the photo to display their image. (Actually, we aren't supposed to have living people images on this wiki, but these are just barely recognizable, so I think it will be okay.)
And you need to add similar information to all your drawings for this outline. Diltsgd 23:42, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
